Parental Involvement

Working in Partnership with Parents

At our school, we value openness, collaboration, and community. We warmly welcome all parents and carers to be actively involved in school life. Your participation plays a vital role in the success and happiness of our children.

Keeping You Informed

Every two weeks, we send out a school newsletter to keep families up to date with important news, upcoming events, and celebrations of our pupils’ achievements. These newsletters are also available on our website for easy reference at any time.

Parent-Teacher Consultations

We hold Parent-Teacher Consultations in the Autumn and Spring terms, with an additional meeting available after July reports if required. These sessions provide valuable opportunities for teachers and parents to discuss each child’s academic progress, personal development, and termly learning targets.

Teachers are always happy to meet with parents at other times—such as after the school day—by prior appointment, to discuss any aspect of a child’s education or wellbeing.

Celebration Assemblies

Every other Friday morning, we invite parents and family members to join our Celebration Assembly, where we showcase the children’s work and recognise individual achievements. It’s a joyful time filled with pride, encouragement, and shared celebration.

Getting Involved

Parents bring a wealth of skills and talents that greatly enrich our school community. You might like to:

  • Help in the classroom (e.g. listening to children read)

  • Assist with after-school clubs (e.g. cross-country, cricket, or art)

  • Support with transport for school trips or local visits

If you’d like to get involved, please contact the school office—we are always grateful for any support you can offer.

The PTA

Joining our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is another fantastic way to get involved. The PTA not only raises funds to enhance school resources but also provides a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents. Recent PTA contributions have funded gym equipment, iPads, and helped to subsidise trips and visiting theatre groups—all of which benefit every child in the school.

Together, we can make our school an inspiring place for children to learn, grow, and succeed.
